Our founders Luke and Meranne Behrends take that seriously - and literally: they tied the knot after meeting at VCU's Brandcenter, where Meranne was studying creative copywriting. After over a decade at top New York City agencies shaping campaigns like Budweiser's "Brewed the Hard Way," Tide's "Miracle Stain," Delta's "Keep Climbing," and the iconic "got milk?", they escaped the city to follow their passions and start Words From The Woods in Portland, Maine. What began as a two-person venture has since grown into an all-star team of strategic marketers dedicated to crafting intensely strategic, wildly creative advertising.
