Making It Mean Something
There’s a lot of chatter happening in the whiskey category these days. New distilleries trying to make a name for themselves. Legacy distilleries trying to stay relevant. Then there’s Old Elk.
Based in Ft. Collins, Colorado, their small but mighty team had, for years, been quietly releasing some of the highest-quality bourbons on the planet. So, boasting an OG Master Distiller with 40 years of experience and a Rocky Mountain attitude, they hired us to do the one thing they’d never been able to do themselves: put it all together.
Quiet On Purpose
One of our first questions was “what does the name Old Elk mean?” And since they didn’t have an answer, we made it our first task. Then we gave them a look and a vibe and a tone and just…kept…going.
We’ve done strategy sessions, planning meetings, photo shoots, video shoots, website redesigns, social campaigns, anthems, signage, pour shots, bottle tags, cocktail recipes, limited-releases, merch ideas, sales ideas, event ideas and have touched nearly every single facet of the company as they’ve achieved distribution in all 50 states.
We even branded their tasting room in Fort Collins and enjoy nothing more than bellying up to the bar and ordering off the menus we designed. Get an antler flight and their Elks In A Blanket. You’ll be happy you did.
“WFTW has been invaluable to us. We’re a small team that’s expanding quickly and the WFTW team truly has been a right arm to us this year – both to drive and focus our brand strategies, as well as pull through to bring the brands to life in dynamic ways. Even more, they’re clearly seasoned pros in their work flow. They know how to sift through what’s important, what’s not – and where they can lend their expertise. No matter the hurdle that was thrown at them, they were consistently able to deliver bulls-eye strategy and creative.”
